We Are Human’s most successful venture to date is Kahoot!, one of the world’s fastest growing learning brands with over 50 million unique monthly active users in 180+ countries. Johan was Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer. Under his leadership Kahoot! grew from a research project to a company that captured one-third of US classrooms, as well as millions of business and social users.

Johan is the Founder and Captain of EntrepreneurShipOne, a zero-emission pay-it-forward platform for the Nordic startup community.

Prior to We Are Human, Johan was part of the founding management team of Playgroup, an award-winning creative company working with Mercedes-Benz, BBC, BT, ITV, Unilever and WWF. He has over a decade’s experience merging creativity and technology, including the innovative MagCom smartphone, backed by Insight Capital Partners and Telenor Venture.

In 2012, he launched The Nordic Connection, an entrepreneurial initiative based out of London's TechCity, with a mission to enable global opportunities and connections for Nordic startups. The initiative resulted in impact events such as the annual Oslo Meets Hackney event in London, and helped facilitate the Austin, Hackney, Oslo Creative Cities Alliance. 

He has a degree in Fine Art Photography, is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and speaks regularly about the future of learning and entrepreneurship at events. In 2015, Johan was awarded Founder of the Year at the Norwegian Nordic Startup Awards, and named on of the 100 most influential leaders in EdTech globally.

Johan is married with a son. His greatest passion outside of family and work is sailing and the preservation of our oceans. He also enjoys cross-country skiing across remote parts of Norway.
